Our talented staff of more than 650+ professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering and construction solutions.Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Civil Site Development Team Lead to assist with our projects in Detroit!
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical and day-to-day leader for civil engineering staff on site development and infrastructure projects
- Lead and contribute to the planning, design, and execution of projects including:
- Site grading and drainage
- Roadway and utility systems
- Stormwater management
- Public and private infrastructure improvements
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
- Provide engineering oversight on the development of plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates
- Review designs for quality, constructability, and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers through coaching, reviews, and technical guidance
- Assist with project scheduling, workload planning, and resource coordination
- Participate in client meetings and support proposal development and business pursuits
- Promote MSG’s quality standards, collaboration, and safety culture
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with an emphasis on:
- Civil site development
- Municipal infrastructure projects
- Private development projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred (or ability to obtain in Michigan)
- Strong technical knowledge of civil design and permitting processes
- Experience working in a consulting engineering environment
- Proficiency with civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
