Receptionist/Tech - Physical Rehabilitation - Tatum Park

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Receptionist/Tech operates under general supervision to support routine patient interactions and ensure a welcoming, efficient environment within the Physical Therapy department. This role is responsible for assisting patients in preparation for therapy treatments, maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, visitors, and staff, and performing various support tasks as delegated by the therapist.
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing patients for therapy sessions
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment used in direct patient care
• Assisting with patient registration and scheduling
• Managing the Epic referral work queue in coordination with other satellite Physical Therapy receptionists
This position may occasionally involve travel to satellite facilities to provide coverage as needed. Candidates should be prepared to handle potentially challenging interactions with professionalism and empathy.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations/timelines
• Ability and desire to learn new technologies
• Must be timely and dependable
• Must be able to multi-task, work independently and be very detail oriented
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to complete documentation accurately
• Must be able to follow existing workflows

Monday - Friday 8:00A.M.-5:00P.M.
