We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to lead and manage our Walmart business across multiple apparel categories. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for Walmart, overseeing all aspects of the partnership including account strategy, costing, delivery, and cross-functional coordination with internal teams. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience managing large private label programs, particularly with high-SKU businesses, and will be confident in driving performance through strong client relationships and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the day-to-day relationship with Walmart across categories, serving as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams.
- Lead all account functions including line planning, product development timelines, costing, production tracking, and delivery management.
- Partner with internal design, production, and sourcing teams to ensure on-time execution and delivery of all programs.
- Analyze and optimize costing strategies to maintain profitability and meet Walmart’s pricing requirements.
- Monitor sales performance, identify opportunities for growth, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with Walmart on all aspects of the business, including order status, product updates, and issue resolution.
- Drive efficiencies across the account to support scalability and improve customer experience.
- Stay up to date on Walmart’s category strategy, processes, and systems; proactively adapt internal processes as needed.
- Travel to Walmart offices, trade shows, and market meetings as needed to support business objectives.
Requirements:
- 5–7 years of account management experience, preferably with Walmart or other major mass retailers.
- Strong knowledge of private label apparel, costing structures, and production timelines.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume, high-SKU programs with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and with external partners.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills for reporting and data management.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally to drive solutions.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation/Benefits:
- The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $145,000.00, which can vary based on role requirements, skill set, and years of experience.
