Business Data & Analytics (BD&A) is a Corporate Shared Service comprised of the existing data and analytics resources in Predictive Analytics, Enterprise Data Management and Enterprise Analytics, as well as the newly created Enterprise Telematics Team.   

Combining these units into one business technology and business data & analytics organization, provides a clearer line of sight across the P&C division for business decision-making and input to data and analytics investments; while better empowering, enabling and equipping our division-specific analytics teams the ability to outperform their peers.

Our Business Data & Analytics group is looking to hire a Business Analysis Supervisor to join their team in Cincinnati, OH. This position will operate on a hybrid schedule.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the daily operations of the business analysis team, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity leveraging an Agile methodology.
  • Leads the analysis of complex business issues and ensures the definition of requirements to design solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders and IT partners to gather information, create semantic models, design visualizations and document specifications.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of automated solutions that reduce manual processes, increasing overall operational efficiency with regard to report delivery.
  • Ensures the creation of end-user documentation and oversees the delivery of training to ensure successful adoption of new systems.
  • Monitors project milestones, phases, and elements to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Leads strategic planning and execution of process improvements to align business analysis initiatives with best practices and organizational goals and objectives.
  • Mentors direct reports for skill development and career growth.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

Experience:

  • Generally, a minimum of 6 years of related experience that includes experience in report and business intelligence delivery. 
  • Familiar with Agile methodology and workflow. 
  • Design and deploy solutions using Tableau, Cognos or Power BI.
  • Familiarity working in a cloud based environment such as Snowflake.

Scope of Job/Qualifications:

  • Typically manages 2 or more reports.
  • Responsible for overseeing team priorities and coordinating daily tasks.
  • May occasionally perform tasks alongside direct reports.
  • Operates under policies and procedures with limited oversight.
  • Responsible for performance and coaching of staff and has a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management.
  • Provides mentorship, guidance, and training to team members, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Makes recommendations for Best Practices and introduces new techniques/tools to the BA Practice (including methods/approaches).
  • Exhibits advanced business knowledge and identifies and defines business needs and maintains a high level of understanding of the organization's business and technology operations.
  • Ensures that the team meets budget and performance targets.
