If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, Core Engineering is looking for NEW GRAD Nuclear Core Design Engineer to join the Nuclear Design team and perform complex nuclear engineering standard and non-standard analysis work, and provide technical leadership in design, development, training, performance, and delivery of complex products and services.
Nuclear Engineer, Core Design - New Grad
Your Day-to-Day:
- Perform standard and non-standard core design reload analysis work for US and international customers, following approved, internal methodologies and procedures (METCOM, ESM, Fuels procedures), maintaining focus on nuclear safety and quality.
- Perform engineering design and analysis and propose solutions to complex problems that are not well defined.
- Interface with customers and multi-functional project teams. May act as expert knowledge resource of specific engineering discipline.
- Lead work of other engineers and provide periodic performance feedback to them.
- Identify, define, and direct approach for successful resolution of significant technical nuclear design issues.
- Coordinate and integrate complex technical projects that encompass multi-functional areas; successfully achieve established budget and schedule requirements.
- Provide appropriate internal/external personnel with periodic updates and recommendations regarding nature and status of work.
- Develop and deliver presentations to communicate status, problem resolution or promote related business products.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering Required (other engineering disciplines will not be considered for this position) .
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
