The Dell Medical School is looking for an Executive Director of Program Delivery.

Purpose

The Executive Director of Program Delivery ensures strategic initiatives that are mission critical to the academic medical center goals are achieved through ownership of the workstream strategy and program structure. As Dell Med progresses from the current ambulatory practice to a fully integrated academic medical center, additional strategic initiatives will be spawned that are similar to scale to those outlined below. The Executive Director of Program Delivery will be responsible for creating a function that drives success of these strategic initiatives. 

Responsibilities

  • Establish an enterprise program delivery function. 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to identify, assess, mitigate, and respond to risks and issues to strategic initiatives. 

  • Ensure robust contingency planning and proactive problem-solving to address challenges.  

  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics to track project progress, outcomes, and impact. 

  • Build strategy and programs to ensure a world-class patient-centered approach to integration of outpatient, inpatient, virtual and community care. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a systematic, synchronized approach across all major programs e.g., new hospital, clinical practice development, electronic health record, etc. 

  • Oversee regular reporting to executive leadership to facilitate transparent and effective communication with key stakeholders to achieve program success.  

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of direct and indirect reports, fostering a culture of excellence, service, accountability, and continuous improvement. 

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or healthcare related field. 8 years of progressively advancing management experience including operations, managing teams, and developing new capabilities. Leadership experience in healthcare provider setting. Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare operations, systems thinking, process design. High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic organization. Experience with policy development and implementation. Experience leading transformational initiatives in complex environments. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Possesses executive presence with an ability to build relationships, influence, communicate and solve complex challenges with executive and operational teams; proven ability to quickly change direction and adapt in a dynamic environment; deep understanding of healthcare operations in an academic medical center setting. Ability to develop and communicate a vision for assigned scope of work along with strategies to implement that vision; regularly conducts research and evaluation of current trends and industry practices to inform strategy.
