POSITION DESCRIPTION

Associate HR Business Partner
[ ] Site, [ ] City, Philippines
Reporting to: HR Business Partner

The main responsibility of the Associate HR Business Partner is to implement talent engagement and management strategy, establishing and maintaining good employee relations in the business units assigned.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE

Associate HR Business Partner are often responsible for day-to-day HR Operations, administrative, compliance-oriented and employee relations and engagement duties.

Account Management – Work in partnership with the business to provide specialist coaching, support and influence that enable business to effectively deliver their people plans. This role plays an integral part in success assigned departments by developing effective working relationships, influencing and challenging the management team, and the development and delivery of their people plans in support of the achievement of the business area and HR strategies.

  • Provide support in the areas of Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Employee Development, Employee Relations and Discipline by communicating with agents and associates in the business units assigned.
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships through proactive business programs and problem resolution. 

Talent Engagement and Retention - Responsible for setting an employee friendly environment, which builds a good platform for reaching the goals and where employees feel their personal contribution to the results of the organization.  

  • Promote harmonious relationships, camaraderie and cooperation within the Company by organizing activities and events that support and enhance employee morale.
  • Coordinate the production managers in taking care of the movement of employees, promotion, layoff, transfer, resignation, etc.
  • Conduct exit interviews, employee surveys and focus group discussions
  • Coordinates Employee Engagement activities

Employee Relations & Discipline- Work in partnership with the business to manage employee by building management responsibility and capability for managing ER issues and improve the effectiveness of consultation.

  • Conduct administrative investigations of violations of Code of Conduct and Good Behavior for staff and management team members
  • Conduct employee relations concerns, including but not limited to counseling and discipline
  • Determine type of disciplinary actions that will be imposed on certain offenses based on the Company handbook
  • Help supervisors and manager write Notices to Explain, Notices of Conference and Notices of Decision
  • Write email correspondence to relevant persons in the department the employee under investigation belongs to regarding Notices to Explain, Notices of * Conference and Notices of Decision to asking for their recommendation on the penalty to be meted out
  • Draft Notices of Preventive Suspension

Policy Cascade and Compliance

  • Responsible for the overall compliance of the HR solutions and HR Procedures applied at the business assigned.
  • Help identify gaps in existing HR policies and contribute to the development of new HR policies and procedures.
  • Organize orientation/briefings for Supervisors and Managers regarding new policies and procedures

A BIT ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's and advanced degree and/or specialized training
  • Over 3 years previous related experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Familiar with Labor Code and other labor laws
  • Competent in problem solving
  • Very good oral and written communication skills
  • Sound planning and implementation skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
  • Resilient and can thrive in a high-pressure environment
