Role Summary
Supports Portfolio Manager Dave Eiswert in execution of investment process and management of a complex, diversified, global strategy.
Investment research support for the Portfolio Manager Dave Eiswert within a diversified, global growth mandate.
Analytical ownership of models, time-series analyses, and company/industry fundamentals.
Generation of differentiated investment insights that influence positioning beyond pure “number crunching.”
Direct engagement with public-company executives (in-office and in-field) to inform views.
Systematic use of AI tools and prompt engineering to accelerate and augment the research process.Apprenticeship with senior investors, building skills required for long-term advancement as a fundamental investor.
Responsibilities
Adopt, execute, and continuously improve the Global Focused Growth investment framework (historical analysis, insight development, and forward modeling).
Lead scoped company/industry research projects and thematic workstreams aligned to portfolio needs.
Build and maintain three-statement and scenario models; synthesize market and alternative data into forecasts.
Partner with the Portfolio Manager and senior analysts to prepare briefs, update views, and translate research into portfolio actions.
Engage CEOs/CFOs and other external experts through meetings, calls, and road visits to test and refine theses.
Extremely detail oriented documentation, compliance discipline, and data hygiene; contribute to reusable templates and best practices.
Track ex-ante assumptions versus ex-post outcomes and participate in performance attribution reviews.
Conduct primary diligence (filings, transcripts, channel checks, site visits) to deepen company and industry understanding.
Develop investment recommendations over time and accept outcome accountability as responsibilities expand if appropriate.
Design and apply AI-driven workflows (prompt libraries, retrieval, automation) to improve research speed and quality.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant buy-side/sell-side investment experience.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling capability, including three-statement builds and time-series analytics.
Strong academic foundation combining liberal-arts reasoning with quantitative training (e.g., calculus, statistics, econometrics; CFA coursework).
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Working knowledge of equity markets and instruments.
Proven facility with AI tools and prompt engineering for research use cases.
Comfort operating in a high-intensity, performance-oriented team environment.
Willingness to travel globally.
Preferred:
CFA preferred
Self-directed, confident contributor who works independently and collaborates effectively.
Demonstrated passion for equity investing and market discovery.
Track record of converting deep research into clear, actionable insights.
