Essential Job Functions

All positions at Wood Shed require the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the store and yard
• Perform work requiring balance, coordination, and hands-free mobility
• Lift, carry, push, and pull materials of varying weight depending on role (up to designated limits)
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment with changing priorities
• Assist customers in a professional, courteous, and solution-oriented manner
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Safely operate tools, equipment, or vehicles as required (training provided where applicable)
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and operational standards

YARD & DELIVERY ASSOCIATE
Job SummaryYard & Operations Associates support material movement, receiving, deliveries, and yard organization. This is a physically demanding role critical to store safety and efficiency.


🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and organize incoming freight and deliveries
• Operate forklifts and other equipment (certification/training provided)
• Load materials for customers and delivery trucks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and warehouse area
• Assist with inventory management and material staging
• Support inside store operations when needed
• Follow all safety protocols and equipment guidelines
  
  

✅ Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and attention to safety
• Ability to lift 80+ lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and work outdoors
• Ability to safely operate equipment or willingness to be trained
• Valid Driver's License with proper certifications
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
• Flexible availability
  
  

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Carrollton, Missouri has had a locally-family owned lumber and hardware store for over 67 years.  The tradition continues with the Eiserer family purchasing Warren Lumber Yard in June 2016 and operating the business as WOOD SHED Lumber & Hardware Supply – Do It Best. 

We are committed to providing top notch customer service and great products to the greater Carrollton area and the communities of Ray County, Livingston County, Saline County, La  fayette County, Caldwell County, and Chariton County of Central Missouri. 

We aim to provide the best electrical, plumbing, hardware, fasteners, hand and power tools, automotive, paint and sundries, gift and décor, gas and pellet grills, lumber and building materials. We don’t stop there, we help find solutions to help customers build, maintain, and entertain where they live and to impact and grow the communities we serve. 

We offer over 67,000 items through our warehouse that can be shipped to your door, or to our store! Other services provided are UPS shipping and drop off location, key cutting, glass cutting, propane refills and delivery.

The children and the team enjoy the classroom visits by sharing a great story and conversation.
