The Campaign Delivery team is charged with the development and activation of single and multi-channel marketing campaigns, leveraging best practices in owned channel campaign delivery.
The Front End Developer leads the creation of a comprehensive end-to-end detailed solution with overall accountability for the technical design and delivery of the System Design Specification (SDS) and is largely focused on large-scale, complex or enterprise projects. May also be accountable for complex programming / coding.
To be successful in this role, the preference is to have someone that has experience working with marketers in the marketing department or supporting customer communications coding in a client facing role. There is an in-office expectation of 4 days per week to either NYC, Mt. Laurel, NJ or Wilmington, DE office and would need to be within a commutable distance from one of those marketing hubs.
Depth & Scope:
- Provides technical expertise and guidance to others in a lead capacity and works autonomously
- Expert knowledge of the business, the broader organization, technical environment, processes, procedures, tools and other relevant technology areas (e.g. Architecture, Infrastructure, Security etc.) from a design / support / solutions perspective
- Primary subject matter expert in multiple areas and consults with clients/or project teams with respect to all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware / software support and/or development of technical solutions and/or testing
- Works autonomously and leads on a diverse range of activities (e.g. design, support of technical business solutions) and is relied upon to coach / educate and monitor the work of others
- Acts as an internal expert resource in the exchange of technical information for project teams, and provides technical insight and recommendations to the business and/or outside vendors
- Typically reports to a Senior IT Development Manager or higher
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
- Graduate degree, preferred
- 7+ years related experience
Preferred Skills:
- In lieu of an undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate AND 7+ years related experience, TD will consider those with a Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years related experience.
- HTML: Advanced knowledge of HTML, including the use of semantic tags, responsive design principles, and best practices for email development.
- CSS: Proficiency in CSS, with a focus on email-specific techniques like inline styles, media queries, and optimizing for different email clients.
- JavaScript: Strong skills in JavaScript, particularly for client-side scripting within emails, and SSJS for server-side email processing within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- SSJS (Server-Side JavaScript): Experience using SSJS to manipulate data, personalize content, or interact with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Email Testing Tools: Experience with testing and previewing emails in Email on Acid to ensure perfect rendering across all email clients.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud: Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud for email creation, automation, and tracking.
- ADA Compliance & Accessibility: Knowledge of ADA compliance and ensuring emails are fully accessible for all users, including optimization for screen readers and usability.
- AMPscript: Familiarity with scripting languages like AMPscript for dynamic content personalization within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Version Control Systems: Experience with Git or other version control systems for collaboration and code management.
