PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $26.00 - $32.12 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:  

As a Member Consultant II at our brand new Tumwater Neighborhood Financial Center, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless and high-quality member experience. Your expertise in BECU’s products will allow you to identify, diagnose, and address members’ consumer financial needs and refer them to specialized services when necessary. You will serve as a subject matter expert, resolving our members' needs and providing expertise in specialized financial services. 

Compensation Transparency:
 

We believe in fair and equitable pay for all employees. The listed pay ranges reflect our commitment to both internal equity and market competitiveness:

  • Member Consultant: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour
     

Offers are often made within this range, taking into account experience, skills, and alignment with internal team compensation. Please note that starting pay typically does not exceed the range midpoint.
 

About This Role & Expectations:
 

This role is within BECU’s Mountain District. Additional details provided if moved forward in the hiring process.

  • One-Year Commitment:  All Retail new hires are expected to remain in this role, location, and schedule for a minimum of one year before pursuing other opportunities within BECU
  • Training: Training will include travel to the Tukwila Financial Center
  • Travel Required: The ability to commute between Tumwater & the above training location is required
  • Flexibility Required:  Schedules are typically given 30 days in advance but you may be asked to adapt to varying schedules and branch assignments based on business needs
     

Training Schedule:

  • 12 weeks, Monday–Friday
  • Variable shifts between 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
     

Post-Training Schedule:

  • Variable shifts between Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Up to 3 Saturdays per month: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

WHAT YOU’LL DO:  

Exceptional Member Experience and Sales Consultation:    

  • Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales, including areas of business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts.  
  • Sign all line and loan documents that originate through outbound/inbound call center, ensuring each Member’s needs are fulfilled.  
  • Assisting the community with financial wellness: This could involve financial education programs, assistance with budgeting, debt management, or access to financial planning resources.
