Adjunct Lecturer - Interior Design, Pool

The Pittsburg State University School of Construction is accepting applications for a part-time, in-person, temporary Adjunct Lecturer to teach Interior Design, History of Design 1, Detailing and Working Drawings, or Interior Design Studio course for the Fall 2026 semester.
Duties and Responsibilities
Delivers assigned courses through in-person instruction on campus unless otherwise directed by Pittsburg State University
Maintains regular on-campus office hours in line with Pittsburg State University and department guidelines
Confers with students outside of class as needed
Develops appropriate evaluations and examinations, and assesses student performance
Keeps accurate records
Collaborates with other faculty members
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience – Time of Hire
Bachelor’s Degree
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in interior design discipline or related field. This degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.
Preferred Education and Experience –
Master’s Degree
1 year experience teaching history or design
1 year work experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
3 years of experience in the Interior Design industry
