Engineering Team Lead (Full Time; Multiple Openings)

Responsible for researching, designing and developing systems software for RingCentral’s software applications.

To succeed in this role you must meet the following requirements:

• Engage in large front-end systems software design and development.

• Understanding business requirements for applications and translating them into new software systems to support RingCentral’s features and applications.

• Contribute to the design, architecture and development of web front-end applications, including web portals for new applications.

• Building reusable components and front-end libraries.

• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers. 

• Promote test-driven development methodology by designing and developing automated test platforms and suites.

• Create elegant interfaces satisfying the functional, performance, scale and availability expectations of the RingCentral software platform.

• Solve complex problems and architect/implement new solutions.

• Troubleshoot technical issues that occur with software deployed in test or production environment.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales and Support teams, as well as clients and partners, to define systems software requirements.

• Integrate new applications and features with existing service infrastructure.

• Apply advanced design patterns and technologies to develop high-quality, scalable and maintainable code.

• Review unit and integration tests to fully test and regress software.

Desired Qualifications:

• U.S. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field and three (3) years of experience is required. (Will accept single degree or any combination of degrees, diplomas or professional experience and credentials determined by a qualified evaluation service to be equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor's degree in the relevant field of study).

• Experience with React.js, MongoDB, Node.js, RESTful APIs, web socket, network technology, data structures, algorithms, system design, unit testing, TDD, IM application, offline-first web application and PWA is required.
