Clean Harbors is looking for a Laboratory Manager at our El dorado, AR location. Responsible for all lab operations and integration with other parts of the company/facility and oversight of employees ensuring the complex analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties.

Maintain a safe work environment that follows all state, federal and company regulations.
Performs complex analysis of samples following prescribed procedures with the ability to solve problems.

Maintenance of equipment, including outside vendor scheduling per maintenance contract schedules and suggests solutions to equipment problems and new/replacement laboratory equipment.
Completes all paperwork associated with the analysis in a neat and timely fashion.
Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines.
What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related science highly preferred
5+ years supervisory experience with direct reports preferred
5+ years of experience in a laboratory setting preferred
Instrumentation knowledge preferred: GC Mass Spec, AA, ICP, Ion Chromatography, Calorimetry
QA/QC experience and production
24- or 40-hour OSHA training
Manage sample shipments and obtain DOT training
Manage air monitoring equipment for the site
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills
Ability to build rapport through regular conversations with staff
