POSITION TITLE: Quality Manager POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the accuracy of sampling, testing, measuring, recording, and analyzing production results. REPORTING TO: Position reports to the Plant Manager and interfaces with production, shipping purchasing and Corporate R&D. POSITION COMPETENCIES:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promotes health, safety, and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.
Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures.
Supervises lab personnel and functions relating to the performance and execution of lab tests to produce reliable data ensuring products conform to known company and customer standards.
Ensures that routine tasks are performed accurately and follows strict methodologies to carry out analyses.
Ensures proper preparation of specimens and samples.
Interprets results obtained by Lab Tech and relays to Plant Manager.
Generates QC report summaries for the Plant Manager.
Prepares reports on WW software platform.
Responsible for formula optimization. Batches found to be out of specification require input and approval by the Quality Manager.
Manages the ISO-9001-2015 quality system.
Performs ISO:2015 internal Audits
Must be available for 24/7 plant support.
Maintains a safe working environment, following all safety rules and procedures.
Prepares weekly and or monthly summaries covering the quality system, test data and other information regarding product quality for the Plant Manager and other operations personnel.
Performs other duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment.
Requires working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous supervisory experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

AS-400 or other enterprise-wide system experience preferred.
Knowledge of WW software platform preferred
B.S. in related field preferred.
Previous experience in a production environment desired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Quality Manager will be located at either the Fernley, NV; Hazleton, PA; Waco, TX; Winter Haven, FL,or Phoenix, AZ, facilities.
Must be able to work in a laboratory environment.
Moderate dust, noise, hot and cold climat
