Peraton is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill this amazing opportunity on for the upcoming LONG-RANGE ENTERPRISE INTELLIGENCE, SURVEILLANCE, AND RECONNAISSANCE ACTIVITY (LEIA). 

 

 Peraton will deliver a broad spectrum of Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C6ISR) capabilities to support SOCPAC missions and it’s AORs. Capabilities include using air, maritime, ground, and space-based platforms to meet mission needs in an ever-changing threat and technology landscape. Our team will provide support to continuously evolve and leverage the latest technologies and best practices to rapidly refresh capabilities and ensure platforms and intelligence operations are optimized to support the SOCPAC missions.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Instructional Designer / Curriculum Developmener  to oversee the design, development, and implementation of our educational and training programs. This role will specifically focus on training a diverse Department of Defense (DoD) audience, including range engineers, on how to operate a wide variety of multi-int sensors and associates mission parameters, and Tactics Techniques and Procedures. The ideal candidate will lead a team of curriculum developers, ensuring that our programs are innovative, effective, and aligned with both industry standards and organizational goals. This position requires a deep understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the curriculum development team, providing direction, support, and mentorship.
• Ensure that all curriculum projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
• Oversee the creation, update, and maintenance of technical training materials, courses, and curriculum for Sensor Operators and Intelligence Analyst.
• Ensure that all curriculum is aligned with educational best practices, industry standards, and the specific needs of our learners.
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing training programs based on feedback, learner outcomes, and industry developments.
• Use data-driven approaches to refine and enhance curriculum content and delivery methods.
• Work closely with stakeholders, including government personnel, contractors, subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, trainers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that the curriculum meets the needs of the organization and its learners.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans for curriculum development, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Ensure all curriculum projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Establish and maintain quality assurance processes for all curriculum materials. Review and approve content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with learning objectives.
• Stay current with trends in education, instructional technology, and adult learning theories.
• Incorporate innovative approaches and technologies into curriculum development to enhance the learning experience, including the use of various training modalities such as instructor-led, micro-learning, blended learning, and self-paced courses.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for curriculum-related inquiries and communication.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and incorporate feedback into curriculum development.
• Write clear and concise technical documentation that is easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop rapid and agile techniques and processes to create content for a frequently changing environment.
• Provide training and support to instructors and trainers on how to effectively deliver the curriculum.
• Develop instructor guides, training manuals, and other resources to ensure successful program implementation.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years experience as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Computer Science, or a related field, additional applicable experience may be considered  in lieu of higher education).
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in training development, instructional design, and delivery methods, preferably in a technical field.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
