About the role

To continue building customer trust the Risk Insights and Defect Elimination team works with sellers, brands, vendors and customers to identify escalations insights and preventives needed to tackle infringement root cause.

We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to investigate complex incidents root causes of suspected infringement of intellectual property and other product abuse. You will work closely with external partners such as brands and sellers and implement policies, tools and technology innovations to protect customers, to defend intellectual property, to protect brands, and to ensure compliance with Amazon policies.

You will partner with numerous teams at Amazon including Brand Registry, Product Safety, Perfect Order Experience, Selling Partner Performance, Retail and Seller Services. You will interact with Amazon leadership on complex investigations and you will improve the way Amazon protects customers from product abuse.

We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to investigate complex incidents of suspected infringement of intellectual property and other product abuse. You will work closely with external partners such as brands and sellers and implement policies, tools and technology innovations to protect customers, to defend intellectual property, to protect brands, and to ensure compliance with Amazon policies.

A day in the life
The Risk Insights and Defect Elimination covers escalations reduction efforts WW. We are looking for an experienced Program Manager or Risk Manager to proactively investigate complex incidents of suspected intellectual property infringement and product abuse. You will work closely with brands, sellers and vendors and implement policies, tools and technology innovations to protect customers, to defend intellectual property, to protect brands, and to ensure compliance with Amazon policies. You will partner with numerous teams at Amazon including Brand Registry, Product Safety, Perfect Order Experience, Selling Partner Performance, Retail and Seller Services. You will interact with Amazon leadership on complex investigations and you will improve the way Amazon protects customers from product abuse.


About the team
The Risk Insights and Defect Elimination Program (RIDE) identifies and tracks defects and gaps in abuse detection, enforcement, and prevention mechanisms discovered through incidents managed by the Risk Mitigation, Escalation Reduction, and Quality Assurance (REs-Q) Teams. Each identified root cause (RC) is tracked in the RIDE portfolio along with its corresponding preventative actions (PA), owners, and Expected Completion Dates (ECDs).

Basic Qualifications


- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
