RIOS is an international design collective. We are actively in pursuit of wonder within the design of the built environment. We believe design is an act of optimism through which invention and ideas change the world. We practice interconnected design across architecture, placemaking, and landscape architecture to define design as a continuum. 

RIOS Boulder office is seeking an Architectural and Experience Designer to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects that range in scale, scope and location.  Applicants must be interested in exploring ideas-based designs that span disciplines, in order to create compelling environments for people. An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to carry ideas through all design phases is central to this role.
 
Current projects on the boards are international immersive experiential installations, public realm design, placemaking, office repositioning, building lobby design, furniture and product design.

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills: 

• Experience with construction documents, construction administration, and consultant coordination  
• Strong verbal and organizational skills  
• Maintains project objectives, milestones and deliverables in a timely manner to advance established project aspirations, goals and deliverables in a timely manner
• Ensures all deliverables and assets reflect concept and design goals throughout project process - from representation graphics, modeling and rendering to instruments of service, schedules and details.
• Strong design skills and a passion for creativity 
• A high degree of self-motivation, flexibility, and resourcefulness 
• Highly refined design sensibility 

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience 
• Bachelor of Architecture degree or Master's of Architecture degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent design degree in other disciplines 
• Working knowledge of Rhino, Revit, Enscape, Twin Motion or other 3D modeling software 
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop specifically) 
• VR / AR and motion graphic experience is a plus
