Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced strategist and writer with an environmental science background to join our team as a Environmental and Climate Disclosures Strategist and Writer. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data, providing thought leadership and writing and compiling TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures), CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) and other climate-related reports for our clients. Tasks may also include climate-related strategy development such as data gap analyses, developing climate change roadmaps, and advising on goal and target setting.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze environmental and climate-related data to gather information for reports
- Contribute to benchmarking, gap analyses and trends insights related to ESG disclosures
- Help support thought leadership and marketing materials development in relation to climate disclosures and transition to a lower carbon economy
- Write clear and concise TCFD, CDP and other climate-related disclosures and reports
- Collaborate with other team members, including environmental scientists and analysts, to ensure accuracy and completeness of reports
- Review and edit reports written by other team members
- Meet deadlines for report submissions
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and guidelines in climate-related financial disclosures
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years experience in environmental and climate change data analysis and reporting
- Bachelor's degree or higher in sustainability related field including but not limited to Sustainable Finance, Financial Risk Management, Environmental Sciences or Engineering, Economics or Corporate ESG Strategy
- Experience working with environmental and climate-related data
- Strong writing skills, with a proven track record of writing technical reports or scientific papers
- Experience with and ability to conduct climate risk management and scenario analyses for F500 companies and translate that information into simple prose for general audiences
- Familiarity with TCFD, CDP and other climate-related reporting guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Additional Information
Comp and benefits :
Excellent starting salary between $118 - 225 annually
