Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Cycle Counting and Accuracy:
- Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory records match physical stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory and actual stock levels.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the database or ERP system.
- Report findings from cycle counts, and work with relevant teams to resolve inventory issues.
- Coordinate and track the process for periodic physical inventories.
- Corrective Actions:
- Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Work with warehouse and operations teams to ensure the integrity of inventory processes.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling procedures are followed to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Backup Production Planning:
- Assist the Production Planning team by creating production schedules and plans as needed.
- Help monitor production progress to ensure on-time delivery and meet production targets.
- Serve as a backup for key production planning activities, including material requirements planning, capacity planning and workorder entry.
- Assist in the coordination between production, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and scheduling.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.
- Document any inventory adjustments, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
- Provide weekly updates to the Cycle Count Accuracy Team.
- Updates Key Performance Board monthly to reflect current inventory accuracy and improvement actions.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the development and improvement of inventory management processes.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay current on best practices in inventory management and production planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory management or cycle counting, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and issues.
- Basic understanding of production planning concepts.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with ERP systems or inventory management software.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move materials as required for cycle counting.
- Occasional standing, walking, and bending during inventory checks.
