Job Description
Purpose of the role:
The North American Qualified Collections Manager role plays a critical role in the success of the Global Collection function and its support of the overall Commerce business unit. A critical component of this role is holding the position of ‘Qualified Collections Manager’ which contributes to fulfilling regulatory obligations of our Square Capital Licence agreement.
In this role you will be the nominated DRI representing the Collections team in the North American region assisting with internal & external audit requests, Unclaimed Monies submissions and regulated product collections strategy development, implementation and reporting obligations.

Responsibilities:
Fulfil obligations of the Qualified Manager for our Square Capital Licence agreement.
Work closely with the Operations Excellence Specialist in supporting external exams and requests for the North American region.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Compliance, Legal & external parties to implement and fulfil ongoing monitoring requirements of a regulated product collection strategy in the North American region.
Provide assistance to collections customers and DCA’s across North America
Work with internal and external partners to meet regulatory obligations for North American Unclaimed Monies submissions.
Work with the Global Collections team on delivering on obligations of the Global Collections Agency Oversight Framework.
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $76,300 - USD $114,500
Zone B: USD $71,000 - USD $106,400
Zone C: USD $64,900 - USD $97,300
Zone D: USD $57,300 - USD $85,900
Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years experience in US collections.
Extensive demonstrated experience working across multiple domains / business functions to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated Change management in a high paced, scaling operational environment
Expert stakeholder managements skills with the ability to partner with teams and department leaders,
Excellent communication skills across a number of mediums (verbal, written and presentation);
A self-starter and someone who thrives under pressure;
Resilient, ability to manage multiple competing priorities and think holistically
Ability to learn quickly, understand complex processes end to end in Operations, and the ability to manage/influence impacts across multiple programs
