CDL Class A DRIVER

Position Summary: TP Mechanical Contractors is seeking Class A CDL Driver for our distribution center in Columbus, Ohio. TP Mechanical delivers end-to-end solutions to our customers, from pre-construction expertise through contracting and fabrication to service and maintenance for piping, plumbing, HVAC/R and fire protection. Works day-to-day on delivery of products and supplies to various work sites in and around Ohio.  Creates a positive work environment and represents TP Mechanical Contractors in a professional manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Delivers products, supplies and other items to job-sites daily and in a timely manner.
• Unloads items delivered to job-sites or returned to the warehouse.
• Focuses on safety and safety practices at all times. Abides by all traffic laws and DOT regulations. Drives the company vehicles in a courteous and professional manner.
• Reloads the truck for the next day’s run.
• Helps pull items for orders when needed.
• Driver responsible for driving pickup truck with 40 ft gooseneck trailer and/or enclosed trailer.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years prior driving experience with straight truck.
• Stable work history
• CDL License endorsement B for straight trucks.
• HAZMAT endorsement
• At least one year of experience driving in the following conditions: rain, snow, ice, fog, etc.

Education:

• High School or GED Equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Able to pass the DOT physical.
• Able to climb in and out of truck.
• Lift items weighing up to 60lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good knowledge of Ohio and cities.
• Knowledge of all DOT regulations.
