Job Description

Nevada State University invites applications for the position of LOA Hourly - Part Time Instructor - TRIO Upward Bound. The Part Time Instructor - TRIO Upward Bound will work under Nevada State University TRIO Upward Bound grants to serve eligible students from CCSD high schools. The in-person Summer Academy begins on June 8, 2026 and concludes on July 11, 2026. Training begins the week of May 18, 2026. We are seeking individuals to join our faculty who can teach in one or more of the following subjects:

  • English/Language Arts
  • College Readiness
  • Computer Coding and Digital Citizenship
  • Foreign Language
  • Mathematics (e.g., algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics)
  • Art (e.g. Visual arts, Performing Arts, Literary Arts, Media Arts, Applied Arts or Decorative Arts)
  • Science (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, geology)
  • Social Studies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Recent teaching experience.
  • The TRIO Upward Bound faculty and staff work with children. All employees must be able to pass a Nevada State University and Clark County School District background check.
