Overview

Reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Senior Project Manager, this individual will shape and execute a comprehensive database, outreach, and event strategy for Fair Park First’s membership and volunteer programs.

 

The Membership Manager will manage all aspects of the burgeoning membership program for Fair Park. The position will develop a new membership database and create standards, processes, and procedures for membership. This position will develop and implement all membership recruitment, retention, fulfillment, and engagement strategies. Working in cooperation with other departments, the Membership Manager will lead a variety of projects including member events and tours, on-site membership sales, digital campaigns and communications, and website presence as it relates to communicating and cultivating members.

 

In addition, the position will coordinate and facilitate the Fair Park volunteer program. Responsibilities include recruiting and training new volunteers, keeping a database of volunteer information and skills, matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skills, keeping volunteers informed, and conveying the organization's purpose to the public.

 

The Membership Manager will work closely with OVG staff, the Fair Park First board, and other Fair Park First stakeholders.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $38.26.

About the Venue

Fair Park is a 277-acre public park and National Historic Landmark, with multiple venues, cultural attractions, and historic art and architecture. Fair Park First is the 501(c)(3) non-profit selected to oversee the management and stewardship of Fair Park since 2019. Fair Park First is reestablishing Fair Park as a welcoming place of opportunity for neighboring communities and a year-round destination for the best of Dallas history, culture, recreation, and events. Fair Park First has entered a sub-management agreement with OVG360 to serve as the daily operator responsible for the day-to-day operations, events management, marketing, food service, and facility maintenance. Fair Park First is the Manager and OVG360 is the Operator. OVG360 is seeking a Membership Manager for Fair Park First.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a new CRM database for membership at Fair Park.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records.
  • Responsible for membership fulfillment and all member communication
  • Implement innovative strategies to attract new members through various channels, working closely with marketing on identifying areas of opportunity.
  • Collaborate with the development and marketing to develop and implement member retention and engagement strategies.
  • In coordination with marketing, update and manage Fair Park First website as needed.
  • Source retailers and merchandising for Fair Park gift shop.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute various member events, differing in scale, scope, and schedule.
  • Develop a volunteer program for Fair Park, including recruitment and onboarding strategies and processes.
    • Collect volunteer information, availability, and skills, and maintain an up-to-date database.
    • Keep new and existing volunteers informed about the organization and volunteer opportunities.
    • Design volunteer recognition process.
  • Represent Fair Park First, its values and priorities, in the community and with the public.
  • Assist in operational duties and special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
