UX Researcher, Mixed Methods

WhatsApp Integrity &amp; Support keeps 3 billion people safe on a private, end-to-end encrypted platform. We detect and enforce against harmful actors, ensure global regulatory compliance, and deliver effective support experiences. This work is crucial to WhatsApp's license to operate as a core utility for billions of people.<br/><br/>We're hiring an AI-native, mixed-methods Senior UXR to drive research horizontally across Integrity, Support, and their intersecting domains. You'll go deep on complex problems and leverage AI to scale insights across the organization.<br/><br/><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br/>Identify the most important research questions across Integrity &amp; Support's complex, fast-moving domain<br/>* Design and execute global mixed-methods studies (quantitative + qualitative), interpreted through UX, HCI, and social science lenses<br/>* Define research strategy for emerging harm vectors (scams, impersonation, business abuse) and evaluate product interventions<br/>* Partner with DS, Product, Engineering, Design, Communications and Policy to identify opportunities to build the safest, most secure, and most supported experiences for users<br/>* Develop measurement frameworks that assess user safety outcomes at platform scale<br/>* Build cross-Meta relationships within Community Integrity &amp; Support and Family of Apps Integrity teams<br/><br/><strong>Qualifications</strong><br/>Experience using AI daily in research workflows, delegating to AI agents, and producing deliverables efficiently<br/>* Experience scaling insights through automation and system design, operationalizing findings to drive decision-making at scale<br/>* Experience crafting narratives that drive decision-making across teams and shape product strategy<br/>* Track record of influencing product strategy in complex, ambiguous, and fast-changing domains<br/>* Experience designing and executing quantitative studies with strong Data Science partnership<br/>* Experience leading international and cross-cultural research Experience with integrity research in developing countries<br/>* Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)<br/>* Experience in regulated or trust &amp; safety domains<br/>* Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies<br/>* Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)<br/>* Background in UX, HCI, or social science research methodologies
