THE JOB:
 

As a Lead Barista at Starbucks, you’ll take charge of daily operations, ensuring the team runs efficiently in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. You’ll oversee deployment, handle guest interactions, and support your team during busy periods. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on coffee expertise, making it perfect for someone with supervisory experience and a love for the art of coffee.

THE STARTING RATE: $15.9389 plus tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Deploy Baristas to key stations and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency.

• Address guest concerns, resolve complaints, and handle voids or refunds using the POS system.

• Support the bar during peak times, operating equipment like espresso machines, nitro machines, and cold drip brewers.

• Pull revenue reports at the start and end of shifts and ensure accurate input.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

• Foster a collaborative, positive work environment, addressing team challenges and managing strong personalities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

• 2 years of experience working in a coffee shop or related environment making hot and cold coffee drinks.

• 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a coffee shop.

• Familiar with espresso machines, cold bar preparation, and specialty drink crafting.

• Familiarity with mobile order systems is a plus.
