Audit Partner - Tampa

As our firm expands, we’re seeking an Audit Partner to help us continue to build our commercial audit strength in our Tampa Assurance practice.    

In this highly visible role, you’ll be responsible for helping to lead the Tampa  audit practice focused on audit compliance and consulting for middle-market companies. Our ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of middle market commercial industries including Technology, Life Sciences, Professional Services, Healthcare and/or Industrials & Consumer Goods (manufacturing, distribution, retail). This position will be based in Tampa and relocation assistance may be provided. Limited travel should be expected.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Execute the Firm and Audit Service Line vision, strategy, and goals for the Tampa audit practice, as well as support other leaders in their execution of the strategic plan.
• Ensure discipline around execution of Service Line business processes and Firm business practices for the Tampa audit practice.
• Manage the utilization and productivity of professionals in the practice to achieve operational and financial targets.
• Develop professionals within the practice and build a talent pipeline with the requisite technical expertise.
• Drive consistency, collaboration and communication among Service Line, Market Leaders, Shared Service Leaders, Advisory and Industry Leaders as well as with other stakeholders.
• Help drive results against budget and key performance indicators throughout the year for the practice.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Masters preferred.
• Must be CPA certified and have an active CPA license.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience with a large local, regional or national public accounting firm.
• The candidate’s strongest traits must be in client service and business development, leading to growth.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
