Why this role matters:

The Security Operations Team champions 24x7 monitoring and response to security events globally and plays a major role in ensuring compliance in the areas of PCI,, SOC2, HIPAA, CFIUS, and ISO27001. Data ingestion and correlation is at the foundation of our Elastic SIEM based SOC Operations, Mapping of vulnerability data from Prisma Cloud, Tenable.io, and MEND to associated engineering teams and AWS Accounts is key to driving timely remediation and risk management. Monitoring access to Vonage sensitive assets through the collection and correlation of such logs to least-privileged access rules ensures ongoing compliance and secure access.

Where you will work:

Flex Worker - You will have home based days, but can be required to commute to the office for collaboration, customer meetings and presentations up to 3 days a week (exact days to be agreed with your line manager). What you will do:

• Data Pipeline Architecture, Design, and Implementation for ingestion of key logs/files into the Security Data Lake
• Collection of various real time and periodic security  logs from disparate systems
• Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading of security event logs into the SIEM
• Define data schemas to map dissimilar datasets to a common format consumable by automation and correlation engines
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and multi-task to meet critical deliverable dates
• Demonstrate ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology tools and platforms
• Work with end users to translate project requirements into database technical specifications.
• Partner with business intelligence data warehouse engineers to ensure robust end-to-end data pipeline and reporting designs

What you will bring:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Database Development Experience (5+ years).
• Coding skills in writing packages, procedures, functions, analytical functions.
• Deep knowledge of AWS Services (S3, lambdas, FIrehose, Cloudformation)
• Advanced skills in Python Scripting,  API Libraries, mySQL
• Strong experience with Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading
• Background with installing application software in an operational environment (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or other Deployment Technologies)

Desirable

• Experience with Elasticsearch and Elastic Security SIEM knowledge is a plus
• Understanding of Snowflake and Tableau
