Position Summary:
Performs a wide variety of patient care activities related to behavioral health.
Reports to: Director
FLSA: Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Completes substance abuse evaluations in compliance with documentation guidelines.
Completes and initiates treatment plans and treatment plan reviews in compliance with documentation guidelines. Assumes overall responsibility for coordinating patient care while in service program.
Provides and documents individual, family, and group therapy as assigned.
Monitors patient attendance and length of time in services; coordinates a discharge plan and recommendations for further treatment, as appropriate.
Initiates and facilitates crisis prevention and intervention, providing emergency crisis services as needed and assigned.
Participates in hospital billing process to secure maximum reimbursement for services.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education
Master’s degree
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

State of Michigan Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW)
OR
State of Michigan Limited License Psychologist (LLP)
OR
State of Michigan Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Certifications:
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Certified Addiction Counselor (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
2 years in behavioral health
5 years in behavioral health (Preferred)
