Position Overview

 

Responsible for receiving materials into the storeroom, uploading trucks, verifying orders, putting away materials, preparing shipping documents, inventory, performing computer transactions, monitoring the day-to-day operation of the stockroom, and assisting co-workers as necessary.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Monitor the day-to-day operation of the stockroom and assist co-workers as needed
• Issue and/or return inventory from stockroom and perform appropriate transactions in SAP
• Unload orders from trucks and verify contents of orders received; put away materials in stock location and perform appropriate transactions in SAP
• Prepare shipping documents for items shipped out of the plant
• Prepare and process Bills of Lading and custom paperwork
• Monitor certain stock levels and notify the Warehouse Supervisor when necessary
• Use computer software, SAP, and others
• Prepare labels, signs, copies, etc.
• Perform housekeeping in and around the stockroom
• Perform accurate inventory counts as needed from Warehouse Supervisor
• Keep accurate records involving the inventory
• Assist the Warehouse Supervisor when needed
• Be knowledgeable of company policies and procedures and follow accordingly
• Work safely at all times following all plant safety rules and procedures
• Report any safety concerns immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor

 

Education

 

•  High School Diploma or GED is required

 

Qualifications

 

• The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and have experience contributing to a positive, employee-oriented culture.
• Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; ability to clearly convey information and ideas to individuals or groups.
• Demonstrate and foster a sense of urgency and a strong commitment to achieving goals. Results-oriented.

• Able to lift 60+ pounds
• Operate forklift
• Basic computer skills
• General understanding of Basic Accounting Principles
• Manage multiple tasks at once
• Good organizational habits
