About the role

PATTERN is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of order fulfillment processes, ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely delivery of both ecommerce and wholesale orders. This role also involves assisting with monthly reconciliation procedures and coordinating with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Planning & Shared Ops) to find workflow efficiencies. The ideal candidate combines operational leadership with technical EDI expertise and a deep understanding of supply chain best practices.

Salary: $95k to $100k 

Candidates MUST be based in the Los Angeles area as this is a hybrid role with three days in-person at the West Hollywood office. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize EDI transactions (850, 855, 856, 810) to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant order processing
  • Monitor EDI workflows and proactively resolve errors, exceptions, and integration issues with trading partners and internal systems
  • Partner with IT and external vendors to maintain, enhance, and scale EDI systems, mappings, and integrations
  • Ensure adherence to customer-specific EDI requirements, routing guides, and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Oversee end-to-end order fulfillment operations, including order entry, shipping, and returns management
  • Partner with Supply Chain leadership on inventory planning, replenishment strategies, and stock optimization
  • Coordinate with 3PL partners to ensure on-time, accurate, and cost-effective deliveries
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs to drive operational efficiency and scalability
  • Monitor inventory levels across warehouses and 3PLs to prevent stockouts and overstock situations
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse teams on special projects, kitting, and custom pack-out requirements
  • Manage and dispute retail chargebacks, ensuring proper documentation, timely resolution, and accountability for recoveries
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including order accuracy, fulfillment speed, shipping costs, and EDI performance
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement data-driven improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors
  • Leverage ERP and WMS systems to enhance operational visibility, reporting, and control
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements for health and beauty products (e.g., Hazmat, FDA, MoCRA)
  • Maintain strict quality control standards across product handling, packaging, and shipping to preserve product integrity
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams to align operations with business objectives
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors to align inbound shipments with fulfillment capacity and demand forecasts
  • Analyze supply chain costs (freight, storage, handling) and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains
  • Support demand forecasting and contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives and lead or support ad hoc supply chain and operations projects

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in fulfillment, warehouse, or operations management, preferably in the health and beauty or consumer goods industry.
  • Experience with EDI platforms and managing big box retailer relationships is required.

Skills

  • Proficiency in EDI systems and retailer portals (e.g., Celigo, Orderful).
  • Strong knowledge of WMS and ERP systems (e.g., Extensive / NetSuite).
  • Proven track record of managing 3PL partners and driving performance improvements in fast-paced environments.
  • Expertise in inventory management, logistics optimization, and big box retailer compliance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
