Roles & Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator II for the Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health is responsible for providing administrative, operational and programmatic support services to an assigned program area. The Program Coordinator is knowledgeable about institutional and program policies and procedures and provides support to a large or complex program or to multiple smaller programs. (A Program provides a specific service or carries out specific activities as a separate entity or as a component program within a department, but is not a department itself.)
- Assists in monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness; demonstrates continuous efforts to improve support operations and systems, streamline work processes, and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
- Assists staff in assigned areas to ensure program objectives are accomplished.
- May coordinate and oversee grant-related issues, reporting of program statistics, and the implementation of data collection procedures.
- Ensures information is disseminated to staff regarding program and Mount Sinai Medical Center’s policies and procedures.
- Perform electronic medical record reviews, extract information on patient demographics, occupation, specialist referrals, diagnoses, work history, and occupational exposures, and enter the data into (OHNIS) Occupational Health Network Information System.
- Maintains detailed records and documentation of information collected from multiple database systems on spreadsheets.
- Monitors program deliverables and timelines, notifies manager when issues arise, and takes corrective actions needed.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for OHNIS requirements. May develop reports and other deliverables as assigned.
- Review reports for accuracy of data entry and correct discrepancies.
- Performs other related duties.
- Bachelors Degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the degree when the experiences are closely related to the duties of the job.
- 3+ years experience coordinating and administering program activities for assigned area
- Skillset: data entry, electronic medical record chart review (Epic knowledge is a plus), intermediate level Microsoft Excel, ability to create and analyze data reports, some billing experience is a plus, ability to navigate multiple data systems
