In Business Development Wind and Solar & Storage, we are currently working on a potential of around 19 gigawatts worldwide, of which over 4 GW in Germany.
Through a corporate acquisition, we have become the operator of several wind farms in Germany in 2021. In addition, we are busy acquiring our own wind and solar projects and also working with other developers. Therefore, we are now looking for a Head of Region South in Business Development Wind & Solar & Storage to support us in our ambitious growth plans in Germany.
As a working location we consider Düsseldorf as well as a home or remote office solution with regular visits to the Düsseldorf office.
Job Description
- Preparation of energy yield assessments, emission calculations, shadow calculations and load analysis based on local wind conditions and site specifics with common tools like WindSim, windPRO WAsP or comparable
- Identification of site specifics to optimize calculations
- Planning and coordination of wind measurements with external partners, as well as follow up on discussions on delivered results
- Build up and maintenance of data basis for noise, shadow and yield calculations through activities in respective associations
- Cooperate with technical experts on the suitability of turbines for particular sites with regards to the meteorological site conditions and on other technical aspects of relevance for the layout
- Cooperate with the LCoE (levelized cost of energy) function to optimize projects across production and costs
- Support to Business Development and Project Management in all daily GIS works
Qualifications
- Excellent team-player with very good interpersonal and communication skills
- Accurate and structured working method with a high sense for precision
- Commercial drive and motivation to achieve outstanding results
- Minimum 3 years experience in a comparable position
- Experienced working with WindSim, windPRO, WAsP or other wind energy modelling tool and ArcGIS Enterprise,
- Degree in engineering with relevant specialisation, such as aerodynamics, meteorology, physics or other relevant field
- Fluency in German and English
