The General Shop Laborer supports daily production activities by safely performing hands-on manufacturing tasks, equipment setup, and general labor duties. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Shop Laborer for 2nd shift to support our plating operation.
Essential Job Functions:
· Assemble and surface finish according to specifications
· Read and interpret instructions, work orders, and blueprints
· Inspect completed work to ensure they meet quality and workmanship standards
· Operate hand tools and power equipment to remove excess metal and burs from workpieces.
· Clean, inspect, and maintain tools, machinery, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
· Assist with basic machine setup, attachment installation, and production support.
· Examine finished work to verify conformance to specifications.
· Follow standard operating procedures and all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
· Communicate any injuries, unsafe acts, or equipment failures to the team lead immediately.
· Maintain accurate records of completed work and material usage as required.
Schedule:
· Monday-Friday, 3PM-11:30PM Ability to work after hours during the week and weekends, as the workload requires.

Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED preferred.
· Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
· Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and safety procedures.
· Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to quality.
· Must be safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be a U.S citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Previous experience in chem file process lines, manufacturing, or a related field
· Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
Physical Requirements:
· Standing: More than 2/3 of the time
· Walking: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
· Sitting: Less than 1/3 of the time
· Lifting: Up to 50 pounds (occasional)
· Crouching, stooping, reaching, or stretching: Less than 1/3 of the time
· Speaking and hearing: As needed for communication
· Visual acuity required for close work and inspection
