Riverside Medical Group is actively recruiting a full-time Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician to join our dedicated team at Riverside Smithfield Hospital, located in the charming town of Smithfield, Virginia.

Position Overview

In this role you will focus on internal medicine and be board-certified in hospital medicine, providing comprehensive care exclusively within the hospital setting. You will manage the inpatient care of our patients, collaborating with primary care providers by reviewing medical histories and diagnoses, and serving as the sole provider throughout the patient’s hospital stay. Your role will be pivotal in coordinating care, ensuring quality outcomes, and delivering compassionate service.

• Provide expert care in internal medicine, certified in hospital medicine
• Serve as the primary provider during a patient’s hospital stay
• Collaborate with primary care physicians to ensure seamless, high-quality care

🎓 Qualifications:

Education/Qualification:

• Doctoral Degree MD/DO, Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine or Equivalent Foreign Diploma

Training:

• Internal Medicine Residency from ACGME accredited training program
• Family Medicine Residency with minimum 3 years of experience as Hospitalist
• Family Medicine Residency with Hospital Medicine Fellowship

Certification(s) and License(s):

• Eligible for/Current VA Medical License
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (if within 3 years of completing residency) by ABIM/ABFM
• Current DEA
