An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deli Manager based in our Portlaoise store. The successful candidate should have managerial experience, preferably in a forecourt environment. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression.</p> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>Reporting to: Site Manager</strong></p> <p><strong><br/></strong></p> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <ul><li>Fuel and Store Discounts</li><li>Company pension scheme</li><li>Supported further education and training.</li><li>Flexible working hours</li><li>Autonomy in the day to day running of the deli.</li></ul> <p><br/> <strong>Principal Duties</strong></p> <ul><li>To work within the guidelines and parameters set by the Head of Fresh Food and the Area Fresh Food Advisors.</li><li>Responsible for management of food court (including franchises within).</li><li>Manage the daily operations in the kitchen (All food preparation to include, breakfast, lunch, evening meals, chilled products and any other food related requirements)</li><li>Prepare food to the high standards expected of our Corrib Deli’s.</li><li>Operate the Deli department in line with company &amp; government food safety &amp; HACCP legislation.</li><li>To follow the company recipe manual &amp; guidelines, ensuring the department meets projected sales and contribution targets.</li><li>Serve food ensuring the provision of excellent customer service throughout the department.</li><li>Ensure all labour, stock control, ordering and margins are documented and communicated in accordance with Corrib Deli procedures.</li><li>Manage staff rotas, ensuring the Deli department has enough cover and is within budget constraints.</li><li>Constant promotion of the Corrib Oil Customer Loyalty programme, ensuring offerings are well advertised, up to date.</li><li>Manage and develop staff to the high level expected of Corrib Deli employees, through continual training in accordance with policies, procedures and company best practice.</li><li>Awareness of mental &amp; physical health of staff, encourage &amp; motivate your team and to deal with all staff related issues in a professional &amp; courteous manner.</li><li>Aid and accompany Environmental Health Officers and other auditors during health inspections.</li><li>Work in conjunction with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth running of the store as a whole<br/> </li></ul> <p><strong><br/></strong></p> <p><strong>Key Skills/Knowledge/Requirements</strong></p> <ul><li>Corrib Deli’s are a 7 day per week operation, so flexibility is required in this position.</li><li>Highly organised with attention to detail, excellent communicator, committed to great customer service.</li><li>Two to three years management experience in a retail food environment would be an advantage.</li><li>Professional qualifications relevant to position would also be beneficial.</li><li>Good Word and Excel knowledge &amp; ability.</li></ul>
