Summary
- The Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the warehouse.
- Ensures materials and supplies are processed, handled, secured, warehoused, issued, disposed and loaded in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
- Maintains accurate inventory levels and effectively manages operations through warehouse storage and resource optimization while providing excellent customer service.
- Promotes an environment of continual process improvement initiatives where employees are involved, empowered and committed to the success of the Company.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma/GED AND 3 - 5 years' experience in warehousing operations.
- Working knowledge of material handling equipment, safety guidelines, and warehouse management systems and processes.
- Familiarity with the union contract and APS company policies and procedures is desirable.
- Experience with organized labor unions is desirable.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience with Maximo strongly preferred.
Nuclear requirement
- Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member. This is a condition of employment at PVNGS.
- Roles and Responsibilities defined in Policy 1503 and implementing policy guide are applicable to all PVNGS employees.
- Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage.
- This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities
This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120) (collectively, U.S. Export Control Laws).

Major Accountabilities
- Directs the daily activities of warehouse personnel by optimizing workloads, resources and customer service through cost effective and efficient work planning.
- Influences others on operational issues of day-to-day significance.
- Resolves operational or technical issues within functional area.
- Maintains proper internal controls across inventory, safety, material handling equipment, and warehouse operating policies and procedures
- Oversees activities to ensure proper storage and timely recording of warehouse transactions in materials management system.
- Collaborates with Procurement Operations to resolve material issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinates material deliveries to ensure parts and orders are delivered to the proper location and on-time.
- Responsible for staffing, training, salary administration and performance management of personnel.
- Oversees training of employees in warehouse functions to ensure cross functional training throughout the staff.
- Conducts routine inspections to ensure safe and healthy working conditions including equipment and facilities in the warehouse.
