About the role

ACTIVITIES:

  • The duties and responsibilities for the Valet Attendant include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Greet all guests promptly and courteously upon arrival
  • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain control and accountability of vehicle keys at all times
  • Coordinate vehicle arrivals and departures with the doorman and bell staff to ensure a smooth guest experience
  • Assist guests with luggage to and from their vehicles as needed during arrival and departure
  • Offer to contact valet services for vehicle retrieval upon guest departure
  • Hand off appropriately to the doorman or bell attendant, ensuring clear communication of guest names and luggage ownership
  • Assist guests to the curb to meet their transportation when necessary
  • Thank guests for staying at the hotel and invite them to return
  • Possess knowledge of the community and surrounding area to assist guests with directions, dining, entertainment, and local events
  • Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly, courteous, and efficient manner
  • Monitor the valet drive and surrounding areas for safety, cleanliness, and organization
  • Report any damages, hazards, suspicious activity, or maintenance needs in assigned areas
  • Return any lost-and-found items discovered in vehicles, drive areas, or hotel premises according to hotel procedures
  • Ensure valet equipment, podium, and drive area are kept clean and orderly
  • Properly use and be responsible for all keys, radios, tickets, and equipment issued during the shift
  • Notify guests of vehicle availability or delays when necessary
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and follow all uniform and grooming standards
  • Provide other guest services and perform additional duties as assigned by management

 

COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal and administration skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of guest service and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations
  • Present a high degree of professional work ethic and image
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Availability to work day, evening and night shifts any day of the week including weekends and holidays

Strong Assets for the Bell Attendant would include:

  • Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures.
  • Understand room status and room status tracking.
  • Know room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.

Physical Aspects of the Job:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 70lbs
  • Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting.

Frequent ascending and descending of stairs.
