The Center of Excellence (COE), Americas is multi-disciplinary regional extension of Group (HQ) Commercial team, built to support Market-driven needs within the realm of Group-led strategies. The team increases global capability, informs strategic decisions leveraging local insights, cascades Global best practices and executes bespoke and localized Market campaigns and experiences. The COE includes Insights, Creative, Digital, Delivery, Retail Experience, and Strategic Planning which is the function responsible for the creative and social strategy, development of briefs and partnership with the Markets in developing marketing strategies and creative execution within the region. The Americas is comprised of 3 markets – US, Canada and Mexico – with South American expansion on the horizon. 

The goal of the Center of Excellence is to provide in-region support to our markets, acting as connectors to our global teams in the UK, and drive excellence across all our marketing and retail communications assets. 

About the Role 

As the Senior Program Manager on the Americas COE, you will be responsible for the Digital team, project management and delivery of all campaign led advertising projects and assets within the Americas Center of Excellence (CoE). You will work closely with all functions within Marketing, primarily partnering with strategy, category teams (client), creatives and production to ensure we are moving projects toward delivery with the appropriate levels of governance at all phases from brief to delivery to asset management.  This role is highly operational in nature and requires a deep understanding of digital ecosystems and content across e-commerce, social, mobile, and 3rd party retail organizations.

Responsibilities include :

  • Define the scope of the project, manage resourcing within the team, flagging and managing any risks when needed.

  • Understand both agile and waterfall methodologies to support both campaign creation and digital production.  

  • Familiarity with using a Kanban board alongside traditional project management documentation and tools is necessary to successfully lead any project request or sprint to completion. 

  • Collaborating with brief owners along with our CoE strategists to understand and define the business problem to solve along with the deliverables required.

  • You will need to have both a business led and strategic approach when managing project requests to effectively prioritize your time and that of your team members. 

  • Once the scope is defined, work closely within the CoE with creative teams and production to manage the progress of the creative development.

  • Be the key point of contact for Group (Dyson HQ, based in the UK), the North America Marketing team (US, Canada, Mexico & LATAM) and Hogarth (our digital production and asset management partner).

  • Be a brand guardian. Always be ready to stand up and speak out for Dyson’s brand and legacy. Dyson appreciates people who hold a leadership mentality, leading by example and taking the initiative where you see opportunities. 

  • Through the project lifecycle, manage any changes in scope and understand the implications of them, communicating and mitigating risks to the cross-functional teams and escalating where necessary. 

  • Lead status meetings with cross functional teams and creative teams as well as Dyson HQ, updating and managing presentations, status reports and other project management documentation. 

  • Liaise with Producers or team specialists to create a detailed scope of work pre-production, and assist throughout production, including:  project management of pre- and post-production, management of digital display with our digital production partner, upload all final assets to asset management system, supplier management and billing
