Hourly Compensation: $18
Work Days: Flexible Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9-5 with the potential for extra hours
Hours: 10 - 20 hours per week or as needed basis
Position Summary:
The Floral Designer will report to Manager, Persimmon Petals. The role will assist in fulfilling orders and replicating floral designs through customized product presentations for various occasions, i.e., wedding, sympathy, and events.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Create floral arrangements through effective and innovative use of colors, flowers, vessels, and accents;
- Effectively replicate designs, as well as create unique, eye-catching florals;
- Learn, implement, and adhere to Persimmon Petals’ design standards and pricing formulas to ensure profitability;
- Process fresh products per established care and handling procedures;
- Maintain shop cleanliness and organization;
- Assist customers via phone when needed;
- Available to work Saturdays and extended holiday hours;
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
- Some floral experience; Three (3) to five (5) years preferred floral design experience in everyday occasions, contemporary, high-end, wedding and sympathy work required;
- Two (2) years knowledge base of floral industry including: floral varieties, conditioning, arrangement styles, mechanics, hard goods and trends required;
