The Role

Experian’s Business Information Services (BIS) is a leader in providing data and predictive insights to organizations. By leveraging state-of-the-art technology and superior data compilation techniques, we provide market-leading tools that assist small and midsize businesses in making real-time decisions.

BIS is seeking a strong Senior Finance Manager. This role supports the Go-To-Market organization, is directly responsible for revenue forecasting, commissions, and long-term strategic planning.

 

Job Description

  • Provide decision support and thought leadership to the business teams in commercial matters spanning product, pricing, and other strategic initiatives. Develop analytics to leverage data and identify key insights and opportunities. Challenge business partners, as needed, to drive better decisions
  • Evaluate and help develop new investment cases
  • Work with product management and strategy teams to develop the annual long term strategic plan
  • Partner effectively with business teams to drive performance in excess of management expectations.  Proactively engage and build strong relationships with the business teams to as to stay connected on strategies and initiatives
  • Oversee the revenue forecasting process by working closely with Sales and other internal partners
  • Assist with client contract review process and provide finance related feedback. Collaborate with teams across the business on how best to meet clients’ needs while protecting the business’ interests
  • Enhance/automate finance processes and challenge existing assumptions/methodologies
  • Partner effectively across the BIS finance team to support on business initiatives and internal information requirements. Drive continuous improvement and seek to optimize efficiency and customer value in all financial processes and business support functions

Qualifications

  • BS or BA in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent work experience, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive analytical and leadership experience
  • Desire to develop others through training, coaching and leading by example
  • Comfortable discussing ideas with all levels of leadership and contributors throughout the organization
  • A passion for driving change throughout the organization
  • Analytical and critical thinker with the ability to gain buy-in and build consensus with key stakeholders
  • Strong backbone – your ideas will be challenged by other bright minds!
  • Enjoys debating issues and seeing multiple sides to an argument
  • Competence in developing financial models for complex business scenarios
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to effectively balance detail orientation while maintaining accuracy and developing sound recommendations
