Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the assigned value stream or business unit to meet customer Quality and On-Time-Delivery requirements, while controlling cost, and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives to increase overall manufacturing efficiencies at the lowest cost possible.
- Responsible for internal and external supply chain to meet quality and delivery requirements for the end customer.
- Develop and maintain an effective manufacturing organization through selection, training/development, and motivation of the workforce.
- Prepare equipment specifications consistent with quality, quantity, delivery and service levels required for the product line.
- Train, motivate, and create a continuous improvement environment where all employees are involved in Kaizen / 6-S activities, and actively contributing improvement suggestions.
- Establish measurements for all functions of the business, monitor compliance and provide feedback to department personnel to improve performance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related operations or manufacturing experience in a supervisory position preferably in the Aerospace or related industries.
- Demonstrated success implementing change in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven implementation/integration of Lean principles and techniques in a manufacturing environment. Two (2) or more years experience implementing Lean / Continuous Improvement projects.
- Acts with integrity and the highest ethical behavior.
- Understand the technical nature of the products being manufactured and provide assistance as required.
- Excellent leadership, communication and team skills required and ability to communicate change(s) effectively. Has the ability to influence, build commitment and overcome resistance.
- Proven track record of implementing and successfully executing on employee relations strategies and building a positive work environment.
- Solid computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Education Requirements:
- S. degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Logistics or related degree required.
