Production Manager

They are responsible for ensuring a full coordination between the Production, Business, and the Supply Chain area to achieve the targets & goals, always seeking to continuously improve through Operational Excellence. 

Also the Production Manager is responsible for coordinating the work done by the production team to meet safety and manufacturing goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with all laws and corporate requirements, specifically for a PSM covered process.
• Ensure that Safety should be always the first concern in all activities executed and above anything.
• Manage a team of 9 union operators. 
• Support and decision-making for a 24/7 operation, occasionally requiring after hours calls.
• Work with supply chain to develop the production schedule.
• Management of small (<$500,000) CAPEX projects.
• Develop process expertise, including operation using a Delta V control system.
• Set and achieve S.M.A.R.T. targets & goals in key performance areas including HSE, Quality, Production, and Cost according the Business direction.
• Coach and develops plans for team based on knowledge of gaps in individuals to achieve Operational Excellence objectives.

Required Skills

• 7+ years operations experience in a PSM Facility
• Proven leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong team player.
• Delta V (or similar) experience.
• Capacity to identify, develop and implement improvements / changes.

Education, Certifications & Licenses

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering degree
