As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Driver in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a high-end retail location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the retail environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Observe and report any unusual conditions or activities that may impact the operations of the retail location.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and/or exits as required by site procedures.
• Work closely with store staff and management to address security-related concerns and provide support as needed.
• Document and communicate all incidents, observations, and actions taken according to site and Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with loss prevention is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
