Description
Be at the forefront of change and become part of the innovative and forward-thinking academic team in the University of Michigan-Flint's Public Health & Health Sciences Department in the rapidly expanding College of Health Sciences! The Respiratory Therapy Program at UM-Flint is seeking a LEO Intermittent Lecturer starting in the Summer 2026 semester to serve as a Primary Instructor for RSP 335 at 25% effort. This course meets online asynchronously.
Course Description
RSP 335 - Research in Respiratory Care: Introduction to knowledge and skills required for understanding and conducting medical research. Research methods, types of research evidence, utilizing resources to find, evaluate and critique relevant research, and implementation of evidence-based findings into practice.
Responsibilities
Provide course instruction through lectures, discussion boards, and case studies; grade assignments, quizzes, and tests; and work collaboratively with department faculty.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Must hold and maintain active credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in a related discipline in an academic or clinical setting
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in a relevant setting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as an instructor in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Modes of Work
Remote
The work requirements allow for the majority or all of the work to be completed offsite.
