About the Team

The Canvas & Collaboration Stream is the essence of Miro. This stream is responsible for the most used and critically important domain for millions of users and a central entity for the success of our business. The stream is responsible for all the whiteboard UI and interactions across different device platforms, content creation, discovery, and sharing, and collaboration experiences within the canvas. 

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our Facilitation Tools cross functional team within the Canvas & Collaboration Stream. Your focus will be on solving problems for our users, facilitating co-creative sessions within Miro, and you'll directly contribute to shaping how we support Miro becoming an innovation platform. 

Mironeers work in a hybrid model, with 2 days a week in the office as our baseline.

What you’ll do

• Partner with the cross functional team to ensure we’re prioritizing and solving the right problems for our users 
• Translating insights from research and data to deliver scalable design concepts and detailed solutions that provide measurable value and impact.
• Define and implement principles to help guide decisions in your work.
• Work in different levels of fidelity from simple sketches all the way to high fidelity advanced prototypes to help illustrate design concepts, test their viability, and support the development process.
• Work closely with other designers and the design system team to systemize solutions and ensure they seamlessly integrate with Miro’s wider product experience.
• Facilitate collaboration and alignment with key stakeholders, leaders and other teams throughout the process while setting appropriate expectations along the way.
• Work closely with Miro’s A11Y designer to ensure solutions are fully accessible.
• Act as a leader within the Product design function, collaborating with other designers to uplevel work and contribute to improving our processes and the overall culture of the function.

What you’ll need

• 6+ years of product design experience shipping products that solve real problems in productivity or creative tools of similar complexity to Miro. 
• Experience in creating sophisticated, simple solutions that solve user problems in creative ways.
• Ability to design end-to-end flows and deliver polished, high fidelity prototypes to help communicate ideas.
• Experience in validating design solutions through user research.
• Systems thinker capable of scaling detailed design solutions across different applications and platforms.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills capable of translating complex ideas and design rationale.
• A motivated self-starter with a cross-functional collaboration mentality.
