Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) is recruiting for a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Inpatient Palliative Care Physician, to provide Palliative Medicine consultation services at Eden Medical Center.

 

  • Provide Palliative Medicine consultation services inpatient in various settings (ICU, ER, wards).
  • Participate in palliative interdisciplinary team
  • Clear referral criteria (i.e., no chronic pain management and demarcation between palliative care and hospice/case management teams)
  • Enjoy work/life balance (weekday schedule, no weekend or overnight call)
  • Care for a diverse patient population in a small to medium sized hospital with large neurotrauma ICU
  • Assist in the development and growth of our inpatient program by means of quality improvement projects and educational outreach
  • Join a robust palliative team (both inpatient and outpatient clinicians) within SEBMG and Sutter Health with ample opportunities for mentoring, learning and professional development
  • Work in the dynamic Bay Area, close to San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Oakland
  • Join a well-established palliative program, with 15+ years of history in the East Bay

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy
  • Subspecialty Board certified or eligible in Hospice/Palliative Medicine.
  • Completed Hospice & Palliative Medicine fellowship
  • Current California state medical license and in good standing with state medical board

  • Salary range $262,356-279,077The listed range is solely a base compensation for full time (1.0 FTE) clinicians. It does not include incentives and benefits. The base compensation rate may be adjusted based on training, experience, community need and other possible determining components.
