Summary:
Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of the ongoing competency of clinical staff.5 years of Labor & Delivery experience required

Responsibilities:
Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of all education activities on assigned unit(s).Manages the onboarding and orientation of all new employees and students on assigned unit(s).May perform clinical patient care when needed.Uses the best available evidence to guide practice decisions.Supports an environment that promotes evidence based nursing practice based on nursing research, scientific inquiry, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.Serves as a consultant/mentor/change agent for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.Collaborates with nursing leaders and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.Plans, updates, and evaluates clinical competencies to assess quality of patient care delivered and ensure regulatory compliance on assigned unit(s).Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Participates in research activities, quality improvement, or evidence-based practice initiatives.Competencies:
