Staff Industrial Engineer / Form Energy, Inc.:

Play an important role in first factory design layout, including manufacturing, material, and

people flow.

Specific duties include:

1. Design and optimize the Form Factory Plan of Record layouts, including manufacturing,

material, and people flow designs;

2. Leverage complex mechanical and industrial engineering concepts and methods to

develop material flow paths, layout metrics, aisle sizing for products, raw materials, and

works-in-progress, driving factory efficiency in collaboration with cross-functional teams;

3. Allocate and optimize space for production lines and other supporting functions to

maximize operational and people needs;

4. Orchestrate the stakeholders for space utilization through data-drive analysis;

5. Measure, establish, and optimize capacity specifications/targets to maximize material

flow efficiency, storage, inline and interline buffers/storage; densify the factory; and

eliminate non-value-add movement or processes; 

6. Provide critical contributions to our factory processes, making recommendations for

process changes to iteratively improve the factory; and

7. Utilize in-depth knowledge and understanding of mechanical and industrial engineering

to serve as a subject-matter expert and senior technical resource to the industrial

engineering team.



Position Requirements:

A Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or

a related field, plus 4 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, Productivity Engineer, or

similar role.

Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:

1) 4 years of experience using AutoCad to design and optimize the layout of manufacturing

facilities, warehouses, or production lines;

2) 4 years of experience in material flow, capacity analysis, and related software, including

FlexSim Simulation or MS Viso;

3) 4 years of experience with Overall Equipment Effectiveness, capacity planning, cycle

time analysis, and line balancing with MOST and SQL;

4) 4 years of experience in industrial engineering analytics design in manufacturing facility,

warehousing, or similar environment using software, including Minitab.


Job site: 1725 Main St., Weirton, WV 26062. Full-time. Salary: $111,890 - $153,265.
