Seasonal Product Data Specialist

As our Seasonal Product Data Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations throughout the year, with a particular focus on maximizing efficiency during our busy seasons. You will coordinate, monitor, and review production documents to guarantee complete, accurate, and documented data. Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues at both the plant and corporate level will be key to your success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Assist with creating and maintaining standardized shipping documents, keeping them updated for each season. Work with plant shippers to edit as needed, you'll also ensure consistent pallet/tote and shipment sequences across all locations.
- All documentation will be meticulously maintained, with both active and archived files readily accessible on OneDrive.
- Responsible for training Shipping Supervisors in all aspects of Silver Bay shipping procedures. Assist with training other plant shipping staff as needed.
- Responsible for Full Container Load (FCL) daily shipments to our processing facilities in Alaska. This includes fact-checking, verifying data, resolving any discrepancies with plants, and ensuring everything flows smoothly within the VMS system.
- Daily paperwork and BOL correction emails will keep everyone informed.
- Utilize the IMS system to monitor inventory records across various stages (Blank, Data Entry, Submitted) and eliminate false records that could skew auto-generated reports.
- Keep van records clean and organized, ensuring accurate inventory data at all times.
- Stay proactive in identifying glitches and suggesting fixes for the IMS/VMS programs. This may involve developing reports and even implementing inventory batch edits as needed.
- Travel to our plants will be required to provide training, monitor implementation of new procedures, and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Your solutions will be instrumental in continuously improving our processes.
- Keep your immediate supervisor and internal partners informed about your progress, including potential roadblocks and suggestions for improvement.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred but not required.
- 3+ years in seafood production experience preferred.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience communicating with internal and external suppliers.
- A proven track record of creating, editing, and maintaining procedural documentation is desired.
Work Environment and Schedule
Position requires onsite presence at our Alaska Processing Facility, and the ability to travel, spending a significant amount of time during the season at our various locations and processing facilities in Ala
